Let Down Reflex / Liquid Gold is a film by Ilana Harris-Babou that considers the passing down of maternal knowledge and the invisible labor that has historically surrounded the act of breastfeeding, amplifying the overlooked aspects of intergenerational care and the societal frameworks that inform them.

The piece was commissioned by the Wellcome Collection as part of their MILK exhibition

It was also projected across the 90+ screens of Times Square New York at midnight every night in May 2023 as part of Times Square Arts’ Midnight Moment series
